Materials
Cylindrical fenders are typically constructed from high - quality materials that can withstand the harsh marine environment. Rubber is one of the most commonly used materials due to its excellent elasticity, resilience, and abrasion resistance. Natural rubber offers good shock - absorbing properties, allowing it to deform under impact and then return to its original shape. Synthetic rubbers, such as neoprene and polyurethane, are also popular. Neoprene has good resistance to oil, ozone, and sunlight, making it suitable for long - term exposure in the marine environment.
